Artist First Alliance
An unprecedented partnership, the Artist First Alliance brought together three organizations united by their shared missions and driven by a collective effort to make artistic residencies more equitable. The three organizations, Baxter St. CCNY, led by Michi Jigarjian and Jil Weinstock, The Last Resort Artist Retreat, founded by Derrick Adams and NXTHVM, founded by Titus Kaphar and Jason Price, joined forces for a collaborative fundraising event that celebrated their creative communities while directly funding each organizations’ residency program. The event took place at The Rockaway Hotel and raised over $300,000 to fund artist residencies.
Circuit
Circuit, an on-demand electric shuttle service, has been selected for one of ten grand prizes through the $85 million New York Clean Transportation Prizes program to advance plans to bring clean transportation solutions that reduce air pollution, advance electrification, and promote mobility in New York State’s underserved communities. The Rockaway Hotel is proud to partner with Circuit on bringing accessible rides to the Rockaway community across the peninsula.
Jamaica Bay Rockaway Park Conservancy
7G is pleased to have a longstanding relationship with Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy (JBRPC), a public- private partnership dedicated to improving public parkland throughout Jamaica Bay and the Rockaway peninsula. Through our strategic alliance with JBRPC, we invest resources into helping protect the environment through beach clean-ups, support with restoration projects and develop thoughtful programming that highlights the importance of community and preserving nature.
